Meet the Team

  • Rebecca D. Oertell

    FOUNDER, COACH, BOARD MEMBER

    Stemming from her career which began as an estate planning attorney in Atlanta and New York, later as a Human and Intellectual Capital Advisor with a Multi-Family Office based in the South East, and most recently as a consultant and coach partnering with financial and legal advisors to provide comprehensive guidance in the areas of governance, leadership, next-generation mentoring, succession planning and philanthropy, Rebecca developed a deep understanding of the unique processes involved in evolving the human capital within a family to cultivate family members who are capable of achieving authentic personal success and well-being. Throughout her career, Rebecca has been on a quest to better understand human potential, motivations for behaviors, decision making and thriving.

    Rebecca obtained her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Communications. She is a Wellcoaches Certified Health & Well-being Coach, an Accredited AVI (A Values Inventory) Consultant, and a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Coach. Rebecca is an Associate Member of the Institute of Coaching.

  • Dr. Jennifer Zumarraga

    BOARD MEMBER

    Jen is a board certified psychiatrist in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After starting in research at the National Institute of Mental Health working with youth with ADHD, Jennifer continued her training at the University of Rochester and the University of Southern California.

    Jen was formerly the Medical Director of ASPIRE, After-School Program Interventions and Resiliency Education at El Camino Hospital. Jen also co-founded The Healthy Teen Project in response to the glaring shortage of services for adolescents with anxiety and mood disorders and the lack of resources for their families.

    Jen’s professional interests include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and working with individuals with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. She believes that in combating these illnesses, we must use the bio-psycho-social model, which includes working with the individual and family to address the educational issues, social/relationship difficulties, and medical aspects in order to treat the whole individual.

    Jen is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

  • Michelle C. Lewis

    BOARD MEMBER

    Michelle C. Lewis is a highly skilled professional known for her expertise in developing and implementing inclusive strategies and programs. She currently holds the position of Associate Director in the Talent Acquisition Solutions group at KPMG LLP, a renowned global professional services firm. In her role, Michelle leads the national Talent Acquisition Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team and serves as the national program lead for the prestigious KPMG Embark Scholars internship program.

    Michelle's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Tennessee State University and a Master's degree in Management with a concentration in Strategy & Leadership from Michigan State University.
